The problem is simple yet persistent. You want the small decisions you make each day to reflect your values, but you don't always have all of the information at your disposal when it comes time to make them. Does this charity actually use my donation where it's needed? Does this food contain added hormones? Is this business transparent about its political donations? Each time you purchase a product, support an organization or business, or stand behind an individual, you are making a statement that it jives with your personal values - or at least doesn't violate them enough to avoid.
Download the app and begin by answering a series of "points" that tell North Star how to align your "compass". There are points pertaining to a range of categories, such as human rights, environmentalism, personal preference and nutrition, and animal rights. The more points you set, the better North Star can guide you. Then, begin following Groups that advocate for your points - again, the more the better. Finally, when you need to know a bit more about something or someone, use the search tool in the app to see what information your Groups think you need to know to make an informed decision.
